Short Film
Using a mixture of straight-ahead animation and spontaneous mark-making I made this film in response to an original soundscape composition by the talented Michael Sowole. I loved how free it was to make this work, and how the outcome generates an unsettling, comic narrative. It's called 'COLDHEARTWARMHANDS,' but when I made 'Cold Hands' in 2016, I thought about changing its title, to 'Skeleton Frolic' - a nod to Ub Iwerks fantastic 'Skeleton Dance,' part of Disney's Silly Symphonies series. However, it never really stuck so it's still called COLDHEARTWARMHANDS. You can watch it below.
